| This live view (updated every minute) looks towards the
town centre, with the tower of the town hall clearly visible. The camera
looks past where the Tower Block used to be, which has been demolished.
Why, I wonder? On the left, with the trees on the right of it, is the Automotive
Engineering Department. Across the middle of the picture is the Electronic
& Electrical Engineering Department, where I spent most of my time,
and on the right is the Refectory, where I also spent a fair amount of
my time.
Anyone who lives in Portsmouth, as I do, will be interested to note that their town hall tower should look like this one, and would have done, were it not for a little rearrangement by the Luftwaffe. I thought my Mum's house might even occupy the area of one pixel or so, but it doesn't, it's well off to the right. If the picture does not appear or does not update, the remote camera might be off-line. |
