I went to school at Radcliffe Hall Primary School (commonly known as 'The Parish' school) from 1960 to 1967; to Stand Grammar School, Whitefield, from 1967 to 1974; to Bolton Institute of Technology from 1974 to 1978 (Now Bolton Institute). |
I worked in my spare time during my student years at Ellinson's, a small weaving company. You walked through the door and you stepped back in time at least 50 years - subsistence wages, dangerous machinery, deafening noise and dust.
I joined Marconi Space and Defence Systems in Portsmouth, Hampshire, in 1978. I currently work at BAE Systems, Underwater Systems Division, in Waterlooville, Hampshire.
