Motorcycle Museums in Britain

The British National Motorcycle Museum is situated on the east side of Birmingham, on the M42 at junction 6 (junc. with A45 Coventry road) on opposite side of motorway to the NEC. Hundreds of well restored bikes on display plus shop and cafe but what is missing is the right atmosphere. At present, 1995, its like visiting a cathedral. Sadly lacking in modern active display ideas. Could do with videos, with sound, showing TT races to liven things up.

1995 Verdict: "Could do better - but great exhibits."

2001 - They now have their own web site - here

These web pages here illustrate some of the exhibits

Another excellent motorcycle museum is this one, the Sammy Miller Museum at New MIlton, in the New Forest. Nice place for a ride out with refreshments. This organisation also does spare parts by mail order now.

The London Motorcycle Museum is at Greenford Essex and was first opened in 1999. It's open to visitors at weekends and Bank Holidays
