Museums in Britain
National Motorcycle Museum is situated on the east side of Birmingham,
on the M42 at junction 6 (junc. with A45 Coventry road) on opposite side
of motorway to the NEC. Hundreds of well restored bikes on display plus
shop and cafe but what is missing is the right atmosphere. At present,
1995, its like visiting a cathedral. Sadly lacking in modern active display
ideas. Could do with videos, with sound, showing TT races to liven things
Verdict: "Could do better - but great exhibits."
2001 - They
now have their own web site - here
